Join us for the Bunny Hop for Hope 2010!
On August 28, 2010, Stasia Gaffney will once again be braving a nearly 20 kilometre journey from College Square at Baseline Road and Woodroffe Avenue all the way to Robinson’s Your Independent Grocer at 1160 Beaverwood Road, Manotick. Her walk will benefit New Moon Rabbit Rescue as she raises pledges prior to the event and collects donations along her route.
New to this year’s Bunny Hop for Hope, two shorter walks have been incorporated for those less daring folks who still wish to raise pledges. There is no entry fee, but we do encourage everyone to try for a minimum of $40 in pledges. Everyone is welcome, so please download a Pledge Form today! If doing so, please send an email to regan@newmoonrabbitrescue.ca to confirm your participation. Though not required, it is definitely appreciated in order to get an accurate estimate of participants!
The nine kilometre walk will commence at 9:30am at Barrhaven Mall (900 Greenbank Rd.) and the three kilometre walk will commence at 10:30am at Beryl Gaffney Park (3901 Rideau Valley Dr. N.). See the Route Map for more details.
A fun-filled fundraising event at 11:00am awaits all walkers at the finish line, with barbeque, entertainment, many raffle items, fun for kids and bake sale. There will be games, prizes and face-painting for children and a variety of great raffle items to win.

Awwwr! This is such a wonderful enterprise, I've always adored bunnies, even if I did find the movie "Watership Down" to be horribly traumatic. I could never wrap my brain around why people would purchase pets of any sort, only to neglect them. I hope your fund raiser goes well!
