Bunny Hop For Hope 2009 - Official Press Release

Bunny Hop for Hope 2009

Robinson’s Your Independent Grocer

1160 Beaverwood Rd. Manotick, ON

September 12, 2009 11:00am-3:00pm

OTTAWA, ON August 11, 2009 – On September 12, 2009, a group of bunny costume-clad walkers will be braving a nearly 20 kilometer journey from College Square at Baseline Road and Woodroffe Avenue all the way to Robinson’s Your Independent Grocer at 1160 Beaverwood Road, Manotick. Their walk will benefit New Moon Rabbit Rescue as they raise pledges prior to the event and collect donations along their route.

Bill Welychka of ‘A’ Morning will be joining the walkers in his own bunny costume and filming along the way for an upcoming episode of “Bill’s Excellent Adventures!”

A fun-filled fundraising event awaits the walkers at the finish line, with barbeque, entertainment, many raffle items, fun for kids, vendors and bake sale. Jasper’s Spaw & Associates will be providing psychic readings and Reiki for animals, as well as nail trims for dogs, with a portion of proceeds going towards the rabbits of New Moon. Musical entertainment will be provided by singer/songwriter Rachel McCully. There will be games, prizes and face-painting for children and a variety of great raffle items to win.

The Bunny Hop for Hope finish line event commences at 11:00am. Join us for a barbeque lunch (including hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie dogs) and entertainment while we await the bunnies’ arrival!
