Getting Ready for the Bunny Hop . . .

New Moon board members have been crazy busy over the past few weeks preparing for the 2009 Bunny Hop for Hope! We hope that everyone can join us on Saturday September 12, 2009 for the Finish Line BBQ at the Your Independent Grocer in Manotick. Rachel McCully will be providing entertainment, we have close to 20 raffle items to be won (watch for more blogs in the coming days featuring some of these wonderful donations!), games and face painting for the kids, a bake sale as well as information about New Moon.

Congratulations to Thumper to was adopted this past week! We know that you will be happy in your new forever home!

Just a few days after his arrival, Fredrick's family tracked him down! It turns out that he had escaped from his cage and his family was looking for him. They were very lucky to be reunited!

Good Bye Bianca, See you Later Frankie and Hello Lukas and Fredrick

Yesterday was a busy day of bunny hopping around New Moon.

First we said good bye to Bianca as she was adopted and left for her new home. Good luck Bianca, have a wonderful happy life with your new family!

Next, we had Frankie, leaving for her new foster home. We hope that Frankie has lots of fun adventures in her foster home while she waits for a new forever home.

Next, we said Hello to Lukas. Lukas was found as a stray in Ottawa. (Thanks to the kind person who caught him and kept him until we could get him from her. Thanks to Francine for picking him up and bringing him out to us.)

Because he came to us as a stray, we don't know much about Lukas, but he is very friendly and enjoys investigating just about anything he can find.

Just when we thought the busy day was over, we got another call. This one was a stray found in a garden. Late last night, we met Fredrick.
Fredrick is a beautiful (or should I say handsom) bunny with very unique colouring and big blue eyes. He is very well adjusted, has no fear of people and loves to cuddle.

We hope that both these boys find wonderful loving forever homes soon!
